Viele dieser recyclebaren Kunststoffe sind gefährlich, wenn sie großer Hitze ausgesetzt werden. Siehe Kunststoffe und ihre Gefahren. Die verträglichsten Kunststoffe sind dabei PET und PP, während PVC und PS bedenklich sind.
